Gloria Walker ’16

Vice President for Student Services

Gloria Walker joined our staff at Carson-Newman University in November 2012. She graduated from the University of Memphis with a Bachelor of Science in Education with a concentration in Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance. Ms. Walker taught physical education and coached in Memphis for 14 years before moving to East Tennessee. She graduated from Carson-Newman University in 2016 with a Masters in Educational Leadership. She served as the Co-director of the Carson-Newman Student Success Center for 5 years while also serving as the Athletic Liaison, an advisor and mentor for student-athletes.

Gloria is currently the Vice President of Student Services at Carson-Newman University. She is a member of the Carson-Newman Executive Leadership Team, the Alumni Association Board of Directors and the Carson-Newman University Nursing Advisory Board. She has three grown children: Sons, Darrion and Chris currently reside in Knoxville, Tennessee and daughter, Briana currently resides in Boulder, Colorado. She resides in Jefferson City with her fur baby, Gabbie, a nine-year-old rescue and Bentley, a five-month-old rescue.
