The exercise science program at Carson-Newman prepares you for a wide range of careers related to maximum performance of the human body. Exercise Science is a rigorous program for students aspiring to work in an Allied Health field such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, physician assistant, medicine, athletic training, cardiopulmonary rehab, strength and conditioning, corporate wellness, chiropractic, coaching, or personal training. Students will explore human movement and human physiology and will gain an in-depth understanding of how physical activity affects the human body, with hands-on experience is built in throughout the coursework.

Our service learning classes partner exercise science students with local medical facilities, skilled nursing facilities, collegiate athletic teams, collegiate sports medicine, youth athletic teams, and local fitness facilities to provide EXSC students the opportunity to experience multiple allied health professions in a real-world setting.
