Dependent Special Circumstance Appeal Form – Please complete this form along with supporting documentation if you have suffered a loss of income. Please note that Verification is required to be completed before any appeal will be considered. Verification paperwork is attached to the Special Circumstances Appeal form. Be sure to complete the Verification pertaining to your dependency status as on your FAFSA. If you have already cleared Verification in our office, you do not need to fill that part of the paperwork out again.

Keep in mind that in order to submit a Special Circumstances Appeal for the 2023-24 academic year, the 2022 taxes must be complete to attach to the appeal, and the student must have already received his/her original aid offer.
Undocumented/DACA Students Application for Need-Based Aid – Please submit this application along with the required documentation listed on the form to be considered for Carson-Newman institutional need-based aid if you are not able to file the FAFSA.
