Physical Education (Licensure or Non-Licensure)

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Combine your passion for sports and fitness with an opportunity to impact the lives of children and youth through teaching. The C-N physical education degree prepares PE and health teachers for kindergarten through 12th grade. Our comprehensive program gives you knowledge and skills in the principles of movement and performance as well as instructional strategies and understanding for reaching a diverse student population.

You can complete your teaching license in physical education K-12, high school wellness, middle school health, special education or elementary education all in three years with summers or four years without summers. We offer both a physical education licensure program and a non-licensure program.

DID YOU KNOW?

According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, regular exercise can help children and adolescents improve cardiorespiratory fitness, build strong bones and muscles, control weight, reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, and reduce the risks of dangerous health conditions.
